Probably a silly question (?):
Right now I am testing Cumulus MX, on a Raspberry PI (RPI). I can access the dashboard with a browser. So I am running Mono, but:
Does this mean a webserver is running already, and I do not have to install Apache on the RPI for publishing Cumulus data to the web?

Well, yes, you could use the (basic) built-in web server in Cumulus MX, but you would have to do something to stop people getting access to the configuration screens.

Would it not be possible at some stage to have the option to password protect the settings screen? Something simple so that other people within your home network could browse in safety?
Steve, perhaps you could start a new enhancement request thread specifically for MX?

Yes. But I don't know how you would do that with HTML pages, and also prevent spoofing of the updates.duke wrote:Would it not be possible at some stage to have the option to password protect the settings screen? Something simple so that other people within your home network could browse in safety?
All enhancement requests are now effectively for MX, so they can go in the same place as the existing ones. I have enough different things to manage as it is. But perhaps it would be better to wait before creating lots of enhancement requests and see what happens anyway. Let's get it off the ground first.Steve, perhaps you could start a new enhancement request thread specifically for MX?
