WMR 100 connection issues
First the good news - got CumulusMX to work with my Davis Vantage Vue (Windows Server 2008 on a Dell Poweredge 750).
But I "volunteered" to test my WMR 100 - this did not seem to work - Diags file attached.
I installed to the D: drive and used a separate installation of CumulusMX from my Davis (2 different directories)
First I started the program with no station attached, opened the web interface and adjusted the settings for a WMR100
Then closed the web interface and server, attached the station and restarted the server - it crashed.
System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Re: WMR 100 connection issues
Installed new build (3002). Initial error (System.NullReferenceException) has gone, but no data is displayed on the console - waited 10-15 minutes. Reset the station - still no data.
Diags attached.

Try reloading/refreshing the webpages of the console.

Tried that - also stopping/closing and restarting/reopening the engine and webpages. No difference.

Re: WMR 100 connection issues
Are there any errors in the developer console of your browser? I think there may be an issue with time formats in the data on some systems.
But it works on the same PC with the Davis?

Re: WMR 100 connection issues
I used 3002 to run the Davis as well - no issues.
Let me check the developers console - I am using Chrome as the browser so I assume I need to look at Developer tools?

Updated to 3003 - same issue.
Error in the developers console says:

Re: WMR 100 connection issues
That error can be ignored.
Is Cumulus logging data to the data logs?
Are you running your browser on the PC as Cumulus? Do you see anything in the websockets part of the developer console (you need to refresh the screen after selecting it)?

No data - left it up all day.
Running the browser as Cumulus.
IE9 says websockets not supported by this browser.
No idea how to view websockets in Chrome.

Re: WMR 100 connection issues
Ah, OK, so the problem is that it's not getting any data from the console for some reason. Could you attach the MXdiags file, and I'll investigate.

Refresh the page.
In the Dev Tools network tab, change the filter setting (click the funnel) from "All" to "Websockets".
Click the connection, then select the "Frames" tab - this will show the websocket packets.
They do not refresh dynamically, you have to toggle the tab back to "Headers", the "Frames" again to get it to update.

Re: WMR 100 connection issues
Mark, for some reason my developer console looks different. No matter what I do I do not seem to show websockets!

Re: WMR 100 connection issues
Thanks. I'll compare the old code and the new code to see if I'm doing something differently.
