Random line on website using iPad

Post by William Grimsley »

Hi Ken,

Please can you help me? (again)

I have just been using an iPad recently and found this rather annoying line down the right hand side of my website.

I think it could be to do with my box-shadow that I have used in my weather-screen-blue-narrow.css file.

Code: Select all

#page {
margin : 20px auto;
color : grey;
background-color : white;
padding : 0;
width : 800px;
border : 0;
border-color : #CCCCCC;
box-shadow : 0 0 20px 0 #777;
}
I don't know if the following CSS "box-shadow : 0 0 20px 0 #777;" is making this line appear.

Here is a screenshot of the line on the iPad screen, it's very hard to see, but it is there:

I hope nobody thinks I'm now becoming a PITA! :oops:

Hope this helps...

William

Sorry on two counts:
1) you crossed the boundary of PITA quite a while ago, so it's not a new revelation based on your postings.
2) My iPad (2 running iOS 6.1.2) does not show the artifact you show on a screen shot. Nor does FF, IE, Chrome or Opera.

I think you will just have to live with it on your iPad .. there is no 'fix' available.

Hi Ken,

1) Oh, right. Sorry. :oops:

2) Ok, so because there is no iOS update for iPad 1, does that mean, I'm going to have to live with this?

Thanks for your help,

William
