flyoutmenu.xml expand with animated graphics

Hello community,

I wanted to ask how the possibility looks to incorporate the "flyoutmenu.xml" a graphic (eg for updates or new area) with.

On http://www.dwayneyamato.com/wx/index.php, a gif graph flashes behind the radar range. Would something like this be integrated also happy with with, so you can see at first glance, where something new is on my side.

Am desperate with me in the "flyoutmenu.xml" on testing how to riff so ewas. Here's a ripped out where I had an animated graphic often put among others. Perhaps you have an idea how can I achieve this.
