1059 is official.
Perhaps we have different opinions as to what constitutes Beta
But I do see that it says that it requires 1070 or later

I have looked at the time issues.
As you are running the Cumulus website rather than the Saratoga, you should be able to fix this by changing; to;
For Saratoga users it seems not to be an issue in its present form but will update the script to cover both.

I added the note re 1070 - it was not there before.
If you check out Steve's comments where he has been asked about this before, he advises later versions are 'safe' to use.

I have a fix for you. However I would prefer to wait a little while to see if any other issues arise so I can include fixes in a new version.pdmguru wrote:
Any ideas when V1.9.4 will be "released"
I'm not in any particular hurry; it's already available for anyone who wants to use it. There don't seem to be any issues with it. It's convenient for me to have a current "beta" to do updates, even if it's now quite mature.

Lol, well at least you are honest about it. I could well have missed it.
Anyway, I have upgraded to latest beta and, touch wood, all seems ok (the snow has disappeared although, in real, we are in a deep fog which I haven't seen for over a year now).

Well I do like to be open about these things.
I added it the first post as I felt it was important that anyone downloading the script for the first time should know about it.

I have reduced the margins to 1 on the bottom line (and for conditions) as the text was a bit tight with everything on there. The spacing is much better now.

Thank you, I have made the change and it is now showing America/Toronto.BCJKiwi wrote:Paul

I have it as a link under my Current Conditions heading: "Sky Condition" and now trying to understand/figure out how to show the image on the main page
I also have the Saratoga templates http://www.komokaweather.ca and will look to add it there as well on the main page but that will be a challenge
Thanks again for your work and help,
Paul

Re: CloudBase script for Cumulus Ver CU1.1
As I mentioned to Gluepack, I replaced the Outlook panel with the cloudbase image but that did require widening the 'narrow' dashboard and the column that it is in.
I chose that location as the outlook is replicated in the forecast section lower down on the dashboard.

Re: CloudBase script for Cumulus Ver CU1.1
Gluepack,
You modification makes the caption look much better - good job!
I have changed the Humidity to one decimal place and made what I presume are the same adjustments you did and now have the same result as your site currently displays.
This will be incorporated into the next version
Thanks.

Well that (and Gluepack's) solution shows the value of the original concept from Rainer - a graphic that you can put pretty much anywhere!

Re: CloudBase script for Cumulus Ver CU1.1
Hi BCJKiwi,
im not sure what i did wrong htttp://99.46.241.66/test/cloudbaseCU.php?html=1
im not get the marker
I have a few questions
1. is $stationAltitude in feet or meters?
2. is the correct hemisphere picked by the script for the moon or does it mneed to be set
3. are there any settings for how often cloudbaseCU.txt is updated?
4. is there any way to get the $cloudheight out of the script like $cloudheightfeet?
thanks Beau

When it is clear, there are no clouds so no marker, no cloudheight , no cloud tempn9mfk wrote:Hi BCJKiwi,

1. it is in whatever units Cumulus is delivering - in your case ft
2. The hemisphere comes from $lat (<#latitude dp=0> delivered in the tag file ) - used for seasons and to get the moon the right way around
3. updated at the same time as all the other web updates - via the FTP settings in Cumulus
4. Don't understand. Please explain what you want to achieve in more detail. The cloudheight is either the one Cumulus sends, or is calculated instead. If you don't want it at all, the script would need to be modified (another switch).

Re: CloudBase script for Cumulus Ver CU1.1
I still don't understand.
You want the cloud height to be displayed?
you want it in feet?
Your units are already imperial?
Your cloud height should be in feet already - ?html=1 indicates it is already.
It appears form your pseudo code that you want to pass some other number which is not the actual cloud height in cumulus nor the standard calculation. If this is what you want to do I have no idea why you would want to do that. Where would the cloud height come from?
If you have some other source for cloud height then how is it used elsewhere on your site?
You can see I'm struggling here. If you can tell me what you want to achieve rather than what you feel the answer is, I might be able to suggest something. However, this is a standard script and unless the change is useful to many, then you may have to change the script yourself to suit your own special requirements.
