Sorry everyone, but I have been flat out (and overly stressed with) work lately so haven't done any dev. work for some time.

Anyway, I thought I'd give you a peek at what version 2 of the SteelSeries gauge page will look like. Most of the work is done, it should be faster to load, gauges reworked slightly, and it uses cookies to remember your units, there are a couple of little bugs that need sorting, but above all the multi-language support needs updating.

Have a look here, it will not be released for at least month given my current pressures hence the sneeky peek, and don't all hit it at once, it's running on a crummy old laptop at the end of my ADSL line. :(

They look great! I might have to start checking out what it takes to run these gauges.

Hmmm all I see are are some web tags at the top if the page, some buttons that in the old version belonged below the first set of dials, and then a gap, then a purpleish box with Temperature, Rainfall, Pressure and Wind Speed, and finally the normal acknowledgements and the web page menu with some web tags in it.

IE9 on Windows 7, doesn't have any problems with previous version!!

Same problem here in IE9; works fine in Chrome and Firefox.

Odd, I have just back home, and it works fine in IE9 for me - but only after I refresh the page once it loaded first time (I cleared the cache first).

I've tried cache clearing and reloading, but I still can't get it to work in IE9.

Steve, could you press F12 and tell me what mode your copy of IE9 is running in? It should be...
Browser Mode: IE9
Document Mode: IE9 standards

Yes.

Interestingly, if I refresh with the developer tools still open, it works, and continues to work if I close the developer tools. Until I restart IE9.

Ah, I wonder if it is all the console logging messages I added, I think IE barfs if the console isn't available to write to, I think the other browsers just ignore the print statements in that case. Once the tools have been loaded once the console is initialised in IE.

On initial load I am getting the status bar now and it says "Text File download corrupted! Retrying" and the time goes to 2 secs then 1 and recycles. Rest the same and my IE9 settings are the same as Steve's.

If I then do a refresh it all appears OK.

Try it now, I was in the middle of trying something when that error was occurring.

Works fine now, impressive.

Just to make sure I wasn't getting a cached version I swapped to one of my other computers on my network that has never accessed it before and tried it on IE9 same settings and it loaded first time, so you have sussed it, well done!!

By the way willing to help test it if you wish, got about 4 different computers I can try running XP, W7 and Ubuntu and various development environments and also willing to put up on my web site?

Well, that was a quick and dirty fix - just switched off the debug messages! They will never be on for released code anyway, so the 'heap' of code required to sort out console logging in all the various browsers isn't worth adding.
