Aligning Steel Series Gauges and Questions.

Post by SJG1976 »

Hi all you gurus.

Once again thanks to all who have helped with my questions in the past, and now I have some more.

Just received a belfryboy logger and got the data onto a new sub domain, but have a couple of questions.

Question 1

On the forecast ticker, is there anyway to keep the data scrolling, and refresh so it doesn't display downloading. I currently have it set to a 10second delay, but on some of the longer forecasts you miss the end of the message.

Is there a way to either make the gauges update more frequently, and refresh the forecast very hour, or don't refresh the forecast at all unless it changes.

Question 2
No matter what I try I can't seem to get the gauges lined up correctly since adding the wind rose, I'd also like to get the 3rd line of gauges higher up (so close) to line 2, but again can't see how to achieve this.

Question 3
After playing about with the Windrun odometer, I decided to try and put that on the WinRose, again despite various attempts, I can't seem to get that on there, I gather it's not a case of just adding 2 lines of use odometer = true
What do I need to get it working on this gauge.

The gauges pages, I'm playing around with are

http://www.cm2weather.co.uk/gg.php and http://www.vp1.cm2weather.co.uk/gg.php

One page is an OS WRM200 the other a Davis VP1

Thanks for reding...

Well managed to answer question 2 myself....

By changing the

canvas id = "canvagGauge" width = "251"
To a width of 201 it all now seems to line up on both my pages.

http://www.cm2weather.co.uk/gg.php
For the OS Gauges

http://vp1.cm2weather.co.uk/gg.php
For the Davis Gauges.
