Problem getting gauges to display correctly

Post by Sturton »

I have tried to search the forum and cannot track down an answer.

I think I have followed all the instructions I can find, but the gauges are not working.

Could I have some pointers.

Thanks

The gauges don't use realtime.txt, they use realtimegauges.txt. A link to your web site would help people to diagnose your problem.

It looks like you are using free hosting from 000webhost.com. They don't support .txt files. If you configure Cumulus to upload it with a different extension (e.g. get it to upload it as realtimegauges.htm) and change gauges.js to look for that file instead, it may work.

Thanks Steve,

That has done the trick.

I was told that some free hosts will not accept .txt files, however since dayfile.txt and the realtimegauges.txt seemed to ftp across without problems, I didn't think of that.

Thanks again.
