Brave Souls Required

Post by mcrossley »

I need a few people who will be willing to test version 2.5.0 for me.

I need a couple of the folks to have PHP enabled web sites, as 2.5.0 has the option to use PHP enabled HTTP long polling that I would like to test on sites other than my own.

As I cannot guarantee that everything will be working for you first time out, you should also be willing to create a test page for 2.5.0, otherwise you risk taking your live gauge page down. (I have reworked quite a bit of the code for 2.5.0 to simplify the page update/timeout process, and made lots of things event driven rather than procedural, which makes adding and removing components simpler. But will it all work? :? ).

Names in hat please...

I have been doing some tests with a limited set of people, I've been unexpectedly busy at work so I do not wish to extend to 'pool' at the moment as I cannot spend too much time on support. I expected to close a project last week, but some hardware issues have meant me going back to fix-up a few things and keep the customer happy. A couple of long days should crack it

The test is looking quite stable, a few little issue have been found so far, and I need to update the test release, I promised to do that last weekend, but things life got in the way. :bash:

Just about there now, just a final test, mainly for added WeeWX support; and I was hoping to get the translations complete as well, but it doesn't look like that will happen.
