Gauges wont display after trends page is displayed - RESOLVED

Post by MWORSNOP »

Something I guess gets lost with the path to files or something.

When I first open the website and display gauges, all is well. The I click on trends, all is well. I go back to gauges and nothing is there. The developer console is giving lots of 404 errors file missing, but it was just working on the last click and the file is there.

Guessing somehow the trends scripts set a new path or something. An ideas?

It all works well from where I look at the site.

I see the same symptoms as mworsnop. If you access the gauges page from anywhere but the trends page then the gauges page works okay. If you access the gauges page from the trends page then several endpoints in the gauges page have "lib" prepended to their path - so that, for example, wx/steelseries/css/gauges-ss.css becomes wx/lib/steelseries/css/gauges-ss.css. This results in 404 responses.

The list of endpoints this happens to is:
wx/steelseries/css/gauges-ss.css
wx/steelseries/scripts/steelseries_tween.min.js
wx/steelseries/scripts/language.min.js
wx/steelseries/scripts/gauges.js
wx/steelseries/scripts/RGraph.common.core.min.js
wx/steelseries/scripts/RGraph.rose.min.js

As I said, this prepending only happens if you visit the trends page immediately before the gauges page.

I don't know why it happens.

Ah, yes. I used the back button, not through the menu. Now I see the issue as well.

Actually gauges are only working from index / now page.

The link is gauges-ss.htm

All the other pages have the link as:

gauges.htm

I finally figured it out! The footer of the pages where it has the links for each page has to be edited by every single page. In the web folder every file that ends in T.htm has to be edited.
