Last 24 hours rain reading...

Post by ijbranch »

Hi Guys,

I am using a WH3801 weather station.

In both 1.9.3 beta and earlier I am seeing aberrant readings in Cumulus.
e,g, The station says we had 4.2mm rain in the last 24 hours. That seems a bit light but could be. Cumulus says I had 0 in the last 24 hours and 162.3mm today. Huh?

Something is wrong clearly.

Suggestions appreciated.

Regards & TIA,

Ian

Please zip up the diags folder and attach it, together with your November log file.

You had some garbage data from the station, presumably read from the logger at start up:

Unfortunately the diags files don't go back far enough to show the actual download, only the last 9 starts are kept, and you've restarted Cumulus more than 9 times since then. I would think the most likely cause would be a corrupted current data pointer.

You can correct today's total using the built-in editor. You probably also want to remove that data from the log file, but it means you are effectively missing a day. You could attempt to 'rewind' by removing the data, and the December log file, and editing the timestamp in today.ini (with Cumulus stopped).

Thanks Steve.
What's the best way to delete all history/records and start again?
