Re: Twitter up
It should attempt to get the tokens the first time it needs them. If you turn on the debug logging, then extra information will be logged to the diags file to show what's happening when it tries to get the tokens. Don't post the tokens in public.
You have an interval of 120 minutes, have you waited 2 hours after starting Cumulus?

Nothing in the diags file, then? Odd.lairgweather wrote:I set it to 5 mins as well to try that and still didnt get the Twitter codes generated..
Edit: If you have the tokens for the same user on another PC, you can just edit them into cumulus.ini, with Cumulus stopped.

Re: Twitter up
I am also in the same situation as Mr.lairgweather.
It cannot post in twitter.
Software uses build 1050.
[Twitter]
User=mimawarikumabot
Password=(removed)
Enabled=1
Interval=60
OauthToken=unknown
OauthTokenSecret=unknown
Even if 2 hours pass, "OauthToken" and "OauthTokenSecret"
do not change with unknon.
Why is it?
Thanks

Re: Twitter up
I have no idea. But if you read what I said earlier about turning on the debug log and looking in the diags file, we might be able to find out. Set your interval to 5 minutes and then wait until an update should have happened.zippang wrote:Even if 2 hours pass, "OauthToken" and "OauthTokenSecret"

Re: Twitter up
I've just tried deleting my tokens, to make it fetch them again, and the first tweet after it gets the tokens fails:
13/10/2012 16:40:04.950 : TwitterOauthToken available
13/10/2012 16:40:04.950 : Twitter data:Test
13/10/2012 16:40:04.950 : Twitter URL: http://api.twitter.com/1.1/statuses/update.json

13/10/2012 16:40:05.610 : Twitter update error: HTTP/1.0 403 Forbidden
but the updates after that work:
13/10/2012 16:45:00.192 : TwitterOauthToken available
13/10/2012 16:45:00.192 : Twitter data:Test

13/10/2012 16:45:01.049 : Twitter thread exit
Note that it doesn't write the tokens to cumulus.ini until you close it down.

Re: Twitter up
I set it to 5 mins,checked the debug log and nothing in the log relating to twitter at all.
I have copied the twitter information from the ini file from another station on a different pc that also sends data to the same twitter account but still nothing and nothing in the debug log either
