Web Counter
Is it possible to include a web counter in a future release of Cumulus web files to count the number of hits on a weather site?

A relatively simple task for you to do, and probably one best not added to the distribution of Cumulus as everyone has there own preferences.
If you want to have a visible counter (i.e. something everyone can see, then StatCounter is as good as any and has a free option -- [as Geoff mentions above too]). If you only want to see your traffic GoogleAnalytics is the obvious choice (and free).
Regardless of what you select, you simply need to insert the supplied code (given during registation of StatCounter/GA, etc) and paste it into the relevant section in the web template files Cumulus uses (remember to add it to every page). Some detail on the templates here... http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/Customised_templates
