Dayfile - Random differences between 1.9.0 & 1.9.1

Post by atb »

Yesterday we had a high wind gust but 1.9.0 showed it as a record (45.0) but 1.9.1 did not record it, but an old one. So, I looked at the dayfiles for each instance of Cumulus (never run simultaneously) and found many, very random differences inthe data, not just the Wind Gust on 4 Feb.
I first installed 1.9.1 on 1st Dec, so all previous data is inherited from the 1.9.0 dayfile - so it is only past that date that there are these random differences - I can't understand why. Any ideas? I hadn't checked before, until this (Wind Gust) record difference appeared.
The 2 dayfile.txt files are attached - it's clear which is 1.9.1 as the more recent line data contains more items, but the 1st listed should be 1.9.0.
Thanks

Unless you are running them simultaneously (which you can't, as you realise), then they will never show exactly the same data. One is presumably using live data, so the samples are every 48 seconds, and the other is presumably using data from the logger, so its samples are every few minutes. You would get the same differences running two copies of 1.9.0.

Wind gusts in particular will tend to show this up.
