Performance of the forum has been very poor for some users since it moved to the current location. This has been shown to be linked to the number of unread posts a user has. The more unread posts a user has, the poorer the performance of the forum for that user. This is likely linked to the database query that returns the number of unread posts. As unread posts are a dynamic quantity, this query will be performed for virtually every mouse click (or finger press) made by a user.
The remedy is not to have a large amount of unread posts associated with your login. The solution is to mark all posts as read. This is achieved by clicking on the "mark forums read" link that can be found on the forum home page, on the right hand side underneath the search box and above the table of subforums.
