SebecTec ip time lapse and Cumulus on same pc

Post by K8POS »

Anyone running cumulus and SebecTec IP Time lapse on the same PC?
I was wondering about conflicting programs trying to FTP at the same time to the same server.
Right now I have them running on separate computer but would rather dedicate just one for the camera and Cumulus.

I guess I will just have to give it a try.
More worried about midnight when cumulus does a major update to all the record files and such, same time as the Time Lapse does the up-load of the time lapse video.

I upload very large files hourly (mp4's) and cumulus has never has a heart attack.
At might night or just after, I download a complete backup of my site all via ftp.
So it should be OK.

I have now had both programs running on the same PC for over 48 hours, and there appears to be NO issues.
Last time I tried some thing like this I was running Windows 98. I guess things have improved with windows 7.

Hi,
I have Cumulus & SebecTec IP Time lapse running on same PC.
I have had this configuration running for over a year without any problems.
