RELEASED: new Cumulus semi live web console
Some time ago a friend asked me to build him a (semi) live console so that he can see Cumulus in action through the internet.
So I have build him this (demo) : http://tinyurl.com/acc6wh2
It's not completly finished, I have to work a little on the alignment of some the data.
Some browsers are not responding the way I want them to, so the alignment is a bit tricky
The script uses the ajax code from DAI's Cumulus Weather Console for the updates and the Cumulus Webtags for some info that is not in the realtime.txt file.
The refresh time is set to 15 sec's, but it can be set to realtime (costs a bit more datatrafic) or any other refresh time.
At the moment it uses about 148 kb trafic for each time the data refreshes.
Maybe I release the script if there is someone interested in it
Gtrz,
Theo

It was a lot of work to make this one, but I like it also.
Maybe I'm gonna use it on my own website too.

It is very good Theo...I think you will find many are interested.
When I chat to my brother in Canada on Yahoo, he always asks for that current view. So I simply use the print screen function/paste to show my current stats. The point is he and others I chat to like that screen so would be an excellent addition to our/my website
Regards Kevin

Re: new Cumulus semi live web console
Just build in new popup screens for the menu bar on top of the console.
And spent some time aligning the data.
@nitrx everything is plain text, so translation possible (iam working on the dutch translation)
btw: tomcatuk, like youre avatar
So far so good, need to do some little things on the script (finetuning)next week.
Grtz,
Theo
