Realtime files not updating.

Post by stimas »

Hello all!

I'v got my weather station up and go. But I don'n get my Android APP to work (Weather station. And also Cumulus realtime). It seems like the Cumulus sw doesn'n update the Realtime.xml file locally or one my web page.
I'm not sure if I have configured the settings "Internet" correctly or if I uses wrong files (realtime.xml, realtime.txt and sunbird.txt).
Can someone tell me if the Cumulus sw makes these files, or do I have to download them from somewhere?
I have tried just to make new files with these extensions and placed them on my web site, but they doen't update or change.
Thanks for you help.

Cumulus creates and uploads the realtime.txt file, if you configure it to do so in the internet settings. The other files aren't standard Cumulus files; I'd have expected them to have been supplied with the app, whatever it is, but people keep asking this question, so I guess they aren't.

Ok. Thanks Steve.
So I have to contact the APP owner for Realtime.xml?

Hmm...,
Didn't help. I have uploaded the file manually (ftp), but still no luck. I also have placed the same filen in C:\Cumulus\web>.
The Realtime.txt doesn't change at all. Same size and date. I have also uploaded this file manually.
Does the file Realtime.txt upload when I do a manually "WEB Update"?
Thanks for your help.

realtime.txt doesn't upload when you do a manual update. It should be working based on your settings, assuming you have your directory etc correct, so if you turn on ftp logging, the realtimeftplog.txt file should show what the problem is.

You have to add the xml file to the files tab to get Cumulus to 'process' and upload it (see the help for the settings). Are there no instructions with the app?
