Thanks for posting, I will have a look through my code and see if I can pinpoint where this bug is.
It may take a while as I will have to try and replicate it, but hopefully I will be able to sort it out

Could I ask when do yet get that error?

Is it just after program start?

Is it after about 15mins from start of program?
(as I have a timer set at 15min intervals to FTP upload, which should be disabled if Auto Export is not ticked)

Is it after about 30mins from start of program
(As I have an FTP error count in place if the program cant reach the FTP site that tries to upload
twice before throwing the error)

or is it at varying times?


The reason I ask is there are various parts of code which control the FTP saving and uploading of
the charts, disabling of timers, and buttons etc.. So if you can answer the above it will hopefully
help me to know where to first look.

the normal error that I get seems to happen just after midnight when it starts logging for the new day. so could this be it trying to upload the pervious days charts?

Yes it could be, I will have a look at my code and see if i can find the problem.(hopefully
if it is within "midnight" block of code it will make it much easier to find the problem)

Can I just double check that you do not get errors at other times other than around midnight?
As if you do it will mean there is a problem elsewhere within a much larger portion of code.

the error that I attached I have seen odd times but it is every night just after midnight that I get the other error I think it says something about not been able to connect to server to upload ftp files. I will post the screen save when it happens to see if that helps.

that does look like what I have been getting if its not I will post the screen shot.

OK, I have done a few other tweaks etc.. for the next release of grabber, which
I am currently testing to make sure they all work without any bugs. So I will now
need to test with this additional revised code also.

Once I am happy that it works ok, I will give you a pre-release version to
test and then you can let me know if it stops that error for you.

The other error you posted up a screenshot of I will also need to have a look
at, but that will be within the larger portion of code so will take me longer to
pinpoint. But at least if I can stop the error you get every midnight you wont
have to put up that every day

Hi Bruce,

That looks like exactly the same error that I managed to replicate yesterday.
So hopefully with my revised code it will sort this bug out for you.

When I get back from work I will post up a pre-release version for you to test.

Bruce,

Please find below the test version as promised. Could you install and
run this version and let me know if you still get the error.

Hopefully with my revised code it should now not happen, fingers crossed.
