Re: Cumulus RealTime Data Grabber - Tool
Hi Lluís,
Just to give you a quick update on my progress.
I went away on holiday last week so could not do any coding.
But now I am back I can start up again implementing the features you requested.
I have the Auto Export charts & Wind Direction Chart features
enabled and am just sorting out the Solar Radiation graphs.
I just need to wait until it is is sunny to test that the data is displayed correctly.
As soon as I have finished and tested that all the new features work and there
are no bugs, I will post up the new release for you to download.
Thanks for your patience.
Regards
Mark

Re: Cumulus RealTime Data Grabber - Tool
Just a quick follow up on the above new version.
Even if your station does not have a solar sensor, if you tick the
"Does station have Solar Sensor" TickBox (on the "Extra Data" tab).
You will still get the Theoretical Max figure plotted onto the chart.
As seen in my screen shot in the previous post for the Solar Radiation graph.
Also the current Daylight condition (yes/no) will be displayed under
the "Theoretical Max" chart legend, which is worked out via Cumulus.
So in summary, even if your weather station does not have a solar sensor
it may be worth just ticking the box anyway as you can still have the above
displayed on the graph.

Re: Cumulus RealTime Data Grabber - Tool
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Please make sure that when you specify the URL for the location of the realtime.txt file,
within the program, that you enter a remote URL for the realtime.txt file.
(i.e. http://www.someserver.com/somefolder/realtime.txt), rather than pointing
to a local copy --> (i.e. c:\cumulus\realtime.txt). As this can interfere with
Cumulus writing to realtime.txt.
Please refer to this thread:

Re: Cumulus RealTime Data Grabber - Tool
Thanks to Mark for a very good program. I have Grabber running on my site very well. One question, and sorry if this has been answered before. Looked back thru all the posts, but not seen any mention of it. In the "Info@station" tab, there is a box, "Additional info". I can put the cursor into it, but not type into it. Does it take information from elsewhere, or have I missed something. Not a major issue, just wondered about it.
Thanks...................Geoff

Re: Cumulus RealTime Data Grabber - Tool
Hi Geoff,
The additional information box is there for me to add extra information into.
Currently it will display the information shown in the below screenshot if
there is a chance of snow.
In the future I will populate it with other information as and when i
add additional features etc..
Hope that answers your question and am glad you find my
program useful.
