iPhone weather app - submit your weather station now

Hi all,

I've been working on an iPhone application for Cumulus users to view both theirs and others stations.

Due out in June it will include all the weather data from your own weather station as well as more functionality
that the iPhone can offer such as push notifications, GPS location, graphing etc.

To submit your weather station please visit www.undertheweather.co.nz and complete the form.
Screenshots of the application are also available there too.

Please also contact me if you have any feature requests that you would like to see included in the 1st version due
out in June.

Would the author care to clarify their position and any benefits there may be for information providers ?

Thanks for your post - it is intended the app will cost approx. $2.59 NZD. This will go towards the significant development costs
of the app and ongoing development.

There is no charge to submit your own personal weather station however there will no be any revenue passed on to individual
station owners who submit their station. Your data is available freely on the internet via your own website. This platform simply provides another platform for people to view it.

Ben is kindly letting me test his app and I gotta say it's damn good. I'll post up when it's available in the apps store.

Please guys, add your stations here: http://www.undertheweather.co.nz/ don't worry about the cumulusxml.tpl file, just the path to your realtime.txt file is enough.

I've submitted one of my sites. The form does not give you the opportunity to say where your realtime.txt file is! (Mine is not in the root of the website)

I'm sure someone will contact me about it at some point when they can't find it

Hi all,

Latest update for the Under the Weather app - the iPhone version is currently with Apple awaiting review. As has been mentioned here previously I do have some promotion codes from Apple available for me to give away.

If you would like to win a promo code I will run the following competition;

I'm quite happy to pay $1.99 -- you need to recoup your developers fee from Apple somehow, especially as they will take 30% commission on each purchase!
