I would edit it, but I don't trust myself.

I just changed the xml file swapping the #rhour and #rfall tags around.

Seems to work fine on my system.

I'm a little simple so can someone tell me in simple stages how to install this app on my new Android Smart-phone?

IGNORE _ I've just read the entire thread - and have it up and running!

I'm not able to get this working. I see that the xml is read because there is no error message and the wind direction is visible but all of the other items stay empty.

Would is be possible that the dev shares the source code. Maybe someone could pickup the development.

This app was working on my Android phone perfectly until this Thursday (1st March 2012) when its stopped working. The desktop Cumulus Realtime gadget works perfectly and the website is fine so the realtime.xml file is ok and the address is still fine in the app so its odd why it suddenly stopped working.

I installed Windows 8 Consumer Preview on my system on Thursday and re-installed Cumulus and put back all the data and that's all fine and the website http://www.imagearchitect.co.uk/weather/index.htm is updating fine as is the Windows Desktop app so it's odd why the android gadget stopped working. Has anyone got any ideas?

Forget my previous post! I am a bit more 'with it' this afternoon. All fixed. I forgot to check and then amend the location of files as set in Cumulus, which is now installed in the route of the C Drive, not Program Files (x86) as it was before...

I got the same and figured out that you have to fill in the name of the Location.
Configuration --> Station --> Location --> Name

Well - I need help.
I have tried some Cumulus realtime gadget, but the most important one (Android app) doesn't work.

I have three files (usually used) in gadgets on my server:
realtime.xml
realtime.txt
sunbird.txt

I can open them in browser on phone. It works on Windows gadget. But on Android Cumulus Realtime app it says "Unable to update".

It is interesting that I can use realtime.xml from some other PWS (including the author's). But if I copy their realtime.xml to my server, it don't work. Why?

Check your webserver can handle xml files.

ISS/Microsoft can't out of the box, Apache does.

You need to add a new MIME type

Thank you, but it didn't help. :bash:

Is this ok? This is for my website, but it is also on the whole web server.

Looks right, you could try application/xml instead.

It is interesting. Now it says "Downloading and refreshing" but data still doesn't show.

The IIS is serving up the XML fine now though, so maybe check the silverlight config - a link to the page may help too?
