Looking for a few testers please -- Cumulus Toolbox
Hi
I am looking for a few good men (or women) to help me test an application
I have started work on 'Cumulus Toolbox', an addon to Cumulus. At present it has one function -- to notify you whenever user defined conditions are met (for example, if the temperature falls below 2.0 then send an email). Currently it will examine 183 webtags and offer several conditions; you provide your own values.
Next on the list is allowing timed uploads to your webserver -- example. upload your dayfile every day at 1am. Also creating a realtime.txt log file on your webserver so you can use Kevin's Jgraphs without crontab access on your server (a current requirement). I have several other ideas coming soon.
For now, I would like some hardy testers who are prepared to install my little app -- there is currently no instructions or help file but I hope it is relative easy to you. Your Cumulus needs to be able to 'process' a file for 'Toolbox' to examine. I have chosen the PHPWebtags file (rather than re-invent the wheel), so if you are using it great, if you are not no worries as long as you can add it to your list in Cumulus to process. It does not need to be uploaded to a server as 'Toolbox' examines it locally on your PC.

I'm finding Cumulus and its add-ons really interesting and I have reasonably good computer skills so I'd be happy to get involved too.

Re: Looking for a few testers please -- Cumulus Toolbox
ok I've followed the instructions to install and process Cumulus webtags. I now have these files in my data directory:
cumuluswebtags.php
cumuluswebtags.phptmp - viewing this one looks as if all the webtags have been processed successfully.
EDIT: I've deleted the rest of the post as I've resolved <MOST> of the issues, see below.

Everything seems to be fine, except I can't enter the webtag PHP file. That field is greyed out and the drop down doesn't respond either. All else was ok and I have successfully sent and received an email.
Now my console states:
Started
Please complete your setup. Web Tag file location missing
Processing paused - setup not complete
User has paused processing.

In the setup screen, use the browse button to find your cumulus.ini file again. Once it has found it the box below will not be greyed out and you can pick your PHP file from the listhills wrote:Everything seems to be fine, except I can't enter the webtag PHP file. Re: Looking for a few testers please -- Cumulus Toolbox
I've tried that a few times now, but still no luck. Could the problem be with my ini file. If I leave that field blank I can see the update interval is "?" then when I select it it changes to "5 min" so I assume it is seeing the ini file ok.daj wrote:In the setup screen, use the browse button to find your cumulus.ini file again. Also the php file on my PC that has been processed is called "cumuluswebtags.phptmp", is that normal. If I select ftp it sends it to my webpage just as cumuluswebtags.php. Is cumulustoolbox looking for a file that ends in .php rather than .phptmp?

Can you PM me your cumulus.ini - edit out your FTP password in the copy you send me
That's normal. When Cumulus processes it makes a tmp copy. 'Toolbox' uses the processed tmp file eventuallyAlso the php file on my PC that has been processed is called "cumuluswebtags.phptmp", is that normal. Sure, I've emailed it to the email address you listed in the "about" screen in cumulustoolbox.
EDIT: Oops sorry, just saw you want it PM'd, it on its way.

Re: Looking for a few testers please -- Cumulus Toolbox
all fixed, now just waiting for it to get down to 10.1 degrees!
I guess the other testers should know as a temporary work around to not being able to select the PHP file, just add it to the second line in the files screen rather than the first in Cumulus' internet options - at least until Daj has fixed that bug.
