Steve I understand that you do not like the way Microsoft designed its Windows, but returning the system to its default option is the way to do it to keep the Windows 'standard' alive and in case the user needs to contact Microsoft for any reasons...

You should see all my Windows installations ... very few of the Microsoft 'standard' setting are still in place...

Sorry, no banner - weather station out of action. Hoping to be up and running with a new home-made one soon.

Completely off topic :)

Get 7-Zip, you know's it makes sense - no more waiting for pop ups.

Re Microsoft - it's the buggiest, least secure, frustrating......... operating system and YET...... probably 80+% of households and businesses use it :o

Anyway, so what have the Romans ever done for us

Ah - forgot that my WinRar had changed the icon from a "folder with a zip" to a "stack of books" :(

Paul C: a quick and dirty solution: when you rename the file to cumulusih.gadget, hit the Delete key several times before you hit Enter - to make sure you get rid of any .zip extension at the end.

Hi!

Sorry if this has been answered before, but I did search and did not find anything.

My Cumulus webpages are served via https and it seems that this is not supported by the gadget? I use this URL https://power.onowingerei.com/weather/realtime.txt and in the settings of the gadget it shows "realtime.txt not found"

Any tips other than turning of https appreciated ;-)
