Fine Offset 3081 transmission failure
Does anyone have any thoughts on repairs / reinstatement of radio transmission from sensor unit to base unit. Mine is only 2 months old and has failed with no backup support forthcoming. Any suggestions?

Re: Fine Offset 3081 transmission failure
Hi,
Presumably you're aware of the "Hold in the <downarrow> button for 10 seconds" to resynchronise the receiver?
Try disconnecting the Solar Pod (and connecting the rain cable into the empty socket) to see if the non-solar transmissions occur (check the LED on the transmitter flashes every 48 seconds) and are received. If that works then the Pod is probably faulty.
If the LED flashes (there is also a tiny icon at the top right of the Console screen when it "expects" to receive something) but you just get "--" on the display, then I'm afraid the transmitter or Console is probably faulty.
BTW, do this with the Console moved away from any other electronic equipment. Also with the USB cable disconnected (and of course good batteries installed) as there have some issues of radio interference from the cable blocking the wireless signals.
Cheers, Alan.
