Hi All,
It's not commonly known, but you can use a Vantage Pro 2 anemometer and transmitter to separate the wind aspect from the main Vue unit.
Until recently I had the main Vue ISS mounter 1.5m above the ground for rainfall, temperature / humidity, and a Vantage Pro 2 ISS board (doesn't have to to specifically be the anemometer repeater) with anemometer mounted on the top of the house. This works extremely well, and the Vue console just takes the wind from the Pro 2 equipment, ignoring the readings from the Vue ISS for wind speed/direction.
Having recently upgraded the Vue to a Pro 2+, I was able to leave the anemometer on the roof and just replace the ground level sensors and console
