No signal from transmiter?

Post by Graham »

My first post, so apologies for any errors! My N96FY has performed well for the last 2 years. About 6 weeks ago the rain, outside temp, wind speed and direction info all disappeared from the screen. I changed batteries, checked and cleaned connections all to no avail. Today, I received a new transmitter from Maplin hoping that it would solve the problem. When the batteries were inserted in the transmitter the red light came on as expected. I left the display untouched but absolutely no change to the display. Any ideas??

You have to reset the base unit at the same time as the transmitter to get the two units to synchronise again. There are instructions on this in the manual iirc.

Hi,

But if that doesn't work, see my post in this thread.

Cheers, Alan.

Thanks, by reset do you mean just taking the batteries out then reinserting them, or is there another more complicated way?

Hi,

Basically yes, for perhaps a minute to be sure. But don't omit to unplug the USB cable at the same time.

Cheers, Alan.
