My alternative mounting for WH1081 sensors

Post by abyss »

Hi there!

Image

That's my way to mount sensors from this popular weather station.
No modification on original wiring was necesery. Note - rain sensor is mounted very rigid, as I presume many of faulty readings was done by wavering and trembling sensors at the end of elastic poles. I've used 2m long ABS/PVC pipe and own designed timber construction.

For now is a two weeks and there was no problems with false rain readings.

How did you extend the wire down to the transmitter?

Was not extended. There was used original lenght of wiring - just unrolled/unfolded.

Hi All,

Sorry for being a little off topic, but I wonder if one of you can help me out?

I would like to know what the diameter of the standard pole supplied with the Fine Offset unit is?

Thanks very much in advance and sorry for being off topic, but it seems like someone on this thread would know the answer.

Cheers

I nipped out and measured mine; it's 20 mm.

Steve, you are a scholar and a gentleman as always! Thanks very much, and sorry for not coming back to you until now.

I bought a F/O station for my dad, and then wanted to mount it for him, but couldn't work out what bracket would fit, so your advice was very helpful indeed.

Cheers
