The final installation is already underway.
The sensor works perfectly. :D

Now there are only small details about the software.

For some reason that I do not know, at the beginning of a new day, the data, graphs ..etc, of the previous days, disappear (Except the first day of the registrations (2017/06/05)). :roll:

Settings:

- Installation directory : C:\BLsunrecorder
- Windows10

I installed the software on a laptop under Windows10; It is the only software (except Kapersky antivirus Total Security) working on this PC.

Solved !

The problem had originated with me, when setting the time setting.

Thanks to Ole's help, the problem is solved. :clap:

Today I start the solar recording, starting from zero

Blake-Larsen sun recorder and Cumulus

I do not understand how you can integrate BLsunrecorder in Cumulus.

I see the possibility configuration, check a box:

    "Use the Blake-Larsen sun recorder"

But I do not see other configuration options :groan:

Called B/l on screen. Set this to 1 if you have a Blake-Larsen Sun Recorder, and you want Cumulus to get today's sunshine hours from it. You need to configure the Blake-Larsen software to put the SRsunshine.dat file into the Cumulus data folder so that Cumulus can read it.

As Laulau says, Cumulus reads the B-L file and from that records if the sun is shining and the sunshine hours. This is then included in the Cumulus month log and dayfile files as Sunshine Hours for the day, and displayed in the standard Graphs.

Hi

I also got one, been working for some months now and I am very impressed. Very well-built hardware and Ole has been really great when I needed support!

Got the recorder at a reduced "spring-price" and I believe that if you ask Ole you can get one at this price also.

That sounds fair ;-)

I seriously recommend everyone getting a Sunrecorder. I actually look more at the recordings from my Sunrecorder than the recordings from my VP2 :D

I had sent my graphs to Ole, the co-creator of the Blake-Larsen Sunrecorder, http://www.sunrecorder.net/ and I guess I am a record setter :roll:
This is his reply:

Hi Paul,
That’s awesome – first time a BL sun recorder could see a partly eclipse ever.
According NASA the eclipse was about 70% at your place in Canada and the signal drop is very exactly at the time where you had maximum eclipse.

The sensor signal dropped by 20% - wonder what it would have been at a total eclipse.

I don’t know where and when he next total eclipse occurs, but will investigate and do some marketing work

Starting today at 00:00, Sunrecorder causes an error in the Microsoft.Net Framework.

Hi,
I have not had that issue. I just now shut mine down and then restart and all went well. There was no issue in yesterday's midnight stop and auto restart.

The most probably cause of error is the sun record file from yesterday.

Open the file C:\BLsunrecorder\SunRecords\2017\11\Sun_20171111.dat with Notepad - it should look like this (with different values and probably several SUN entries).

SRS = sun rise / set
TOT = sunshine total / no records
NRC = no records - here same as sun set time.

If not you can either edit the file or simply delete it - believe that will cure the program stop.

This kind of error have bee observed a few times before and can happen if a power break occurs or similar events happens.
