Problem with data logger

Post by meteo »

Hi, everybody!
I have notice something. When i shut down my computer, and turn it on again, and wait to Cumulus to start, when Cumulus start to load data from data log (data log interval set for every 10 minutes), I get just 8 records (each record, every hour) instead of 48 records.

Do any of you know what is all about? Thanks

You've probably got your station logger set to 60 minutes?

Cumulus doesn't do any settings on any weather station. Even if I knew how to set it, I wouldn't want to risk Cumulus doing something nasty to someone's station.

I don't know how the logger interval is set on La Crosse stations, as I don't own one. Surely it's in the instructions somewhere? Other La Crosse owners seem to have managed to do it, so it must be possible.

I found the instruction manual for the station on the web, and it doesn't say how to set the logger interval, so it looks like you have to use Heavy Weather.

We have a LaCrosse WS2310 and the only way to set the data logger interval is using the Heavy Weather software. I don't know if there is any other program capable to set this value.

you must install the heavy weather program(cd was given with the station or just download it from the internet). inside the program you've the setting icon and there you can fix the wanted interval

Just so its clear, the interval you set using Heavy Weather stays set in the station until it loses power (which resets to factory defaults).
If I ever want to change my logging interval I shutdown cumulus, start up heavy weather, change the interval, shutdown heavy weather and start up cumulus again.
