My Current Forecast

Station: Sunny

Cumulus: Exceptional Weather, Settled Fine

Bureau: Cloudy. Areas of rain. Winds southeasterly 15 to 20 km/h becoming light early in the morning then increasing to 30 to 45 km/h in the morning

BT's Sager: Showers; No important change. Some tendency for slight increase in winds during day, diminishing in evening. South or Southeast winds.

So far it's been pretty much spot on.

Thanks guys! I updated the list for the new users.

I am very pleased with how BT's Global Sager Weathercaster JavaScripts For Cumulus have progressed.

For anyone using my Sager Weathercaster JavaScripts or the Zambretti versions, please keep in mind that these are not always as accurate as NOAA/NWS, BOM, MET, etc. Those guys have radar and much more sophisticated weather equipment than most of us will ever have. It is still cool though using the data from our weather stations to come up with forecasts which every once in awhile are more accurate than our local national weather services or TV news meteorologists :D however, just like their forecasts, it is impossible to have a 100% accurate forecaster.

It is important to also use the current cloud conditions as detailed in the first post.

I am especially happy that I was right about using the trade winds to adjust the forecasts automatically for other areas as detailed here:

Im new to this having had my weather station less then a month loving it learning quickly just wondered if some one could answer me on this question :?:
Clear
Mostly Clear
Mostly Sunny
Partly Cloudy
Partly Sunny
Cloudy
Foggy
Mostly Cloudy
Mostly Overcast
Overcast
Rain

I understand the difference between most of them but not partly cloudy and partly sunny and mostly cloudy mostly overcast how does the Sager Weathercaster differentiate between them.
thanks in advance

Think of it this way:

Clear = Clear, Mostly Clear, and Mostly Sunny
Partly Cloudy = Partly Cloudy, Partly Sunny, Cloudy
Mostly Cloudy = Foggy, Mostly Cloudy, Mostly Overcast
Overcast
Rain

I simply added the other ones in case someone typed that into the Current Conditions box. All you really need to know are Clear, Partly Cloudy, Mostly Cloudy, Overcast, and Rain which are the ones used on the original Sager Weathercaster.

I can't believe how accurate this is working out.

Sager:
12-24 Hour Forecast:
Increasing cloudiness or overcast followed by rain or showers; Probably increasing North or Northwest winds.

Bureau:
Isolated showers during the morning, mostly about the ranges. Mostly sunny afternoon. Winds northwesterly 35 to 45 km/h tending westerly in the morning then decreasing to 25 to 35 km/h in the early afternoon.

BT,
Your Sager forecast script works for me at http://weather.gktnet.com/index.php

So far it's shown to be pretty accurate.
Cheers,
Graeme.

If anyone is interested I have a PHP version of the BT JavaScript here:
http://weather.wilmslowastro.com/bt-sager2.php

No guarantees that it works 100% as I also re-factored the code the little. I haven't integrated it into my site yet.

It relies on the cumuluswebtags.php file, to which you have to add three extra tags.

Edit: Removed download link for now as the status of this script is reviewed.
