Re: using process to generate text file
Looks like a problem with the file being processed - mismatched tags, probably. I should really trap the error.

Which files were you using then? I'd assumed the one causing the problem was one you had created yourself, with a typo in it.

Re: using process to generate text file
Yes - and actually that's probably the best way to do it if you are using the standard files, because it will have just processed them anyway. Unless you've specified 'realtime', which I think you had, in which case the processed files will be slightly out of date. It depends on the timings that you've set.GTB wrote:was using the produced "htm" files

Re: using process to generate text file
If you untick 'process', and specify the processed files rather than the 'T' files, then yes, that will work. But be aware that if you also tick 'realtime' then the file you will be copying will have been processed at the last 'standard' (non realtime) interval, so may be slightly out of date. In other words, there's no point in ticking 'realtime' in those circumstances as you won't get faster updates than if you hadn't ticked it.
Hope that's clear. Maybe I should do a flow chart of what Cumulus does, web wise.

If you're using realtime update, yes.

Re: using process to generate text file
Steve -- the new build with the no ftp option is working great as a means to process and generate local text files. There are actually two files produced for each line -- one labled "tmp" and the other "txt". No problem - I suppose the tmp file is just an artifact of the process.

Re: using process to generate text file
Yes, the processing has to go somewhere, so the 'tmp' files are created. It's easier for me to do it this way, with the way the code was structured, rather than process the file straight into the destination file.

Re: using process to generate text file
I suppose there could be a method to delete and replace the temp file if someone were absolutely obsessed by it. Or it could be processed in a tmp directory/folder....
