TEST DRIVE : Complete Website Template for v.1.9.2

Post by JacquesD »

Hi!

I've nearly finished my little template for Cumulus.
This is a plain html website based on Cumulus Website Template.

Planned for newbies who want a different template,
but just want a simple "throw-in-folder" installation.

Could be seen (in French for now) here :
http://meteoduquebec.com/TemplateQC/index.htm

Hoping comments on design and browser compatibility.

Thanks in advance,
JacquesD

Looks good - tried in FF7 and IE9, and Safari on my Mac.

Looks very nice, good work. I would respectfully suggest that you include a summary of the basic current conditions, temp, wind, rain, or at the least the current temperature, at the top of the page. I think users want instant gratification when they visit a website, and scrolling down (don't forget many users are on widescreen format laptops now) to find any actual weather data is likely to be a turn-off.

Hi JacquesD,

Is this something you plan to release to others at some future date.

Jacques, quelques commentaires... ;)

Note: N'oublie surtout pas d'inclure un lien dans la ligne "Copyright © 2011 Mon Site Météo" - "The requested URL /TemplateQC/INFO@MONSITEMETEO.COM was not found on this server" n'est pas un lien acceptable...

"HighRainRateRecordSet"... etc... :bash:

Merci,
Jacques

Uncle Bob, if I may call you 'uncle'...

Those 'Foux Du FaFa' are funny ... but they also need some coaching with their french... ...the french used by the guys and the gals sounded more like the french tough in school than the french spoken on the street... :P
