Re: Now offering free hosting for Cumulus users.
Ray,
Sorry i mussed this message earlier in the month!
Basically I own the domain name, and Google Mail hosts my email. So I can setup a new email address <something>@findmyinbox.. and you then have your own google mail box. You can use this as your normal email or put a forward on it to your own email.
It works exactly as normal Google mail, with all the same features, space, etc.
We can easily do it with your own domain name too -- Google to do not charge for the service.

No worries. I know life has been hectic recently.
I use Outlook 2010 and can setup multiple mail accounts so if I wanted to reply to a message it would probably be best if I could use the google email address and not my BT one. Is that feasible? I haven't used Google mail before but I assume it works much the same as any mail account where you can use your own email software.
Feel free to reply to my private address on setting this up.

A very generous offer. Would it mean my computer has to remain on all the time?
Thanks

Not necessarily. But your weather station wouldn't have any means of uploading the data to the website if it was switched off.

David, daj wrote:As you may be aware I have been offering a web hosting service to the Cumulus community for a small fee for just over a year.
As part of the 'simple' hosting package I do the work of loading the web space with the Cumulus files and all you need do is provide the username and password to Cumulus and you will then have a web presence. It's that simple and you can be up and running in minutes.
I also offer a more complete hosting solution for advanced users.
I am delighted to announce that I am now offering the 'simple' hosting service FREE of charge.
I havent got a website! any help?

Hi David,

Is there a problem with your web hosting servers?
