If possible I would like to include the temperature on my webcam images. I use yawcam which will automatically add the value of a variable to the jpg image before it sends it to my website, so long as I can put that value, ie the temperature, into a file called "temperature.txt" on my pc. Is there anyway I can get Cumulus to do this each time it processes the web files in the same way it processes the realtime.txt file?

Re: Can I do this with Cumulus?
Just create a "template" file, e.g. temperatureT.txt, anywhere on your PC, with the appropriate web tags(s) and text in it (e.g. just <#temp> will give you the temperature figure only), and add it to the files tab on the internet settings. Give the name and location on your PC of the destination temperature.txt file as the remote file, tick "process?" but don't tick "ftp?", and Cumulus will process and copy the file each time it does a web update.

I'm not sure how to put the txt into the JPG file but we could simply overlay text on top of the image on the web page. However if someone took a copy of the JPG it would not contain the text so maybe not what you want

Re: Can I do this with Cumulus?
Wow thanks, that was too easy!!
As per usual, Cumulus is doing exactly what is is supposed to, but yawcam seems to be ignoring the updated variable. I'll have to search yawcam's forum now for the answer to that problem.
Thanks again!!
