banner finally !

Finally got my banner up however cant find how to make this linkable to my website. is it a simple case of stinking <a=href> link somewhere in the php file

Nothing to do with the php file - assuming you mean on this forum, go to your profile, edit signature and enclosure your banner code with URL, editing to suit.

If you mean any html page, then that page needs to coded ...

The banner itself can't do that since it is only seen as an image.

You need to go to your profile section and place bbcode around the banner to make it do that kind of like:
