I have spent hour unsuccessfully trying to use Cumulus to create a simple web page--which is clearly operator error. I am able to successfully ftp the data to my website, but none of the formatting is working. My file structure has a folder called "weather" and the two subfolders called "dbimages" and "images." Under the "weather" folder, I have the three requisite files (1) CumulusRealtime.swf, (2) weatherstyle.css, and (3) wz_jsgraphics.js. Under the "dbimages" folder, I have a bunch of .gif files such as rains100.gif that upload when I successfully upload from Cumulus. The "images" folder has the one file called picture.jpg that never seems to appear.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks.
Geoff

Re: Help with using Cumulus to build web site
Geoff, have you looked at the document that comes with Cumulus more precisely the section titled "Setting up your website'?
Steve has spent many hours putting this document together.
May I also suggest that you have a look at the following Cumulus Wiki page - you might find quite a few answers:
http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/index.php?title=FAQ
It is not that I do not want to help you but there is nothing to see at the link you posted...

The advice from Ray, above, is sound -- the help file is quite precise on what you need to do to get the standard site up and running.
What I would also add is that your URL http://mysite.verizon.net/resxw1vl seems wrong as it gives a 404 error, URL not found. Normally you would get a 403 (or similar) if files were missing but the URL was correct
Are you happy that it should end resxw1vl? Is that your username? Are you missing anything else from the URL string?

Re: Help with using Cumulus to build web site
Geoff,
You've likely a lot more experience than I, but I found that after following the upload of the Cumulus files as per the Help instructions and then (after triple checking all the Configuration Internet settings) do the Cumulus File Web update and then type in my URL with the /weather subfolder extension I got my first webpage. And there are so many very experienced members here who are most kind and eager to help.
Paul.

Re: Help with using Cumulus to build web site
Thank you for the information--the info on this site has been invaluable!
It looked like the link I had before wasn't he right one---this is the one I have set up. It looks like the ftp files weren't in the right location. Everything appears to be working---except for the gauges. Any advice on how to get the gauges to work?

Thanks again for the quick responses.

Re: Help with using Cumulus to build web site
I think it's because verizon's web hosting is 'deficient'. The web server probably isn't letting the Flash application retrieve the realtime.txt file which it needs.
Note that your 'trends' page isn't working either - click on one of the thumbnails. If you search the forum, you'll find a few people having problems with verizon (and a work around for the trends page issue).

Steve,
That sounds difficult----I may just have to leave it as is. I did a quick search but couldn't find anything that would help here.
Thanks.
