The Best Mop for Vinyl Floors in 2022 — Short Top Product Reviews

If you’re searching for a good Vinyl floor mop, you’ve come to the right place!

Our analysts have been combing through market data to find the best mops for vinyl floors on the market. After testing them out ourselves, here are the ones that meet our reviewers’ expectations the best. Keep them on your radar!

1. Bissell SpinWave Expert Hard Floor Spin Mop, 20393

The Bissell SpinWave is an electronic spin mop that we think is going to be a good choice for people who want their chores to be as streamlined and effortless as possible.

After powering it on, the motor inside is going to spin the circular mopping pads at the bottom at high speed. Just drive the mop to whatever spot that needs cleaning and it’s going to do the bulk of the job for you. No need to push and pull it back and forth.

We’ve tested the mopping pads of the Bissell SpinWave 20393 thoroughly. Because they are made from soft microfiber, we detected no damage to our floor after several mopping sessions. So, rest assured that this machine isn’t going to hurt your vinyl floors.

The mop comes with a built-in detergent tank. You can apply the detergent onto the floor via a trigger on the handle. As the trigger is manual, you have full control over how much detergent is applied to the floor.

Design-wise, the construction has a good quality. We also found it easy and comfortable to use. Last but not least, the swivel steering on the mopping head enhances maneuverability greatly.

In the box, you get 4 “soft-touch pads” and 2 “scrubby pads”. The soft pads are for day-to-day mopping. Use the scrubby pads when you have to tackle stubborn dirt and debris.

2. O-Cedar ProMist MAX Microfiber Spray Mop

If you simply need a pure, non-electronic mop, the O-Cedar ProMist MAX is a good candidate.

It is a spray mop, so it comes with a built-in water bottle that you can also add a dash of detergent inside. There is a trigger on the handle that you can pull to spray the liquid onto the floor. The trigger is pressure-sensitive, so control over the spray is great. A gentle squeeze will only mist the surface. If you need a lot of detergent, squeeze hard.

The sprayer is wholly mechanical, so no battery required.

In terms of design, most of the mop is made from plastic, so durability can be a bit of a problem. Fortunately, the mop itself is rather cheap, so if something was to break down the line, it doesn’t hurt a lot to replace it with a new one.

The mopping pad that the O-Cedar ProMist MAX uses is made from microfiber, so it won’t hurt the floor (we checked). However, the special part about this mop is that it is double-sided, so you can actually use the same pad twice in a single session. If one side was to get dirty, all you have to do is flipping the cleaning head over and continue cleaning with the other side.

The pad is washable and reusable. According to O-Cedar, the pad can be washed and reused for up to 100 times before you need to replace it with a new one.

Conclusion

Depending on what you’re looking for in a good vinyl floor mop, take your pick! We’re fairly confident that whatever model you end up choosing, they will be able to take care of your floor.

DarkSky was purchased by Apple on 31-Mar-2020 and has announced the end of 2021 to discontinue the public API and they are no longer offering API keys.

I suggest you use Aerisweather instead.. at least they're still offering free API keys for submitters of weather data to pwsweather.com.
