I just registered a test domain www.sheffieldweathertest.co.uk
Since I got dynamic ip address I added the domain to my no-ip account and then pointed the nameservers to the no ip servers. I still need to put www.sheffieldweathertest.co.uk in but it won't let me for some reason.
Since I've already got an web server running I set the port to redirect in no-ip to port 86
So far so good.
Anyway things aren't working too well. If I type sheffieldweathertest.co.uk the web site loads but changes the url to the ip address.
I decided to do a nslookup and sheffieldweathertest.co.uk is actual not my ip address but 34.198.182.201
This is a webite on a amazon web server. WTF
Whois via ip address confirms that.
Whois on my web address says I'm the owner via webwiz.
How does that happen??
I dropped both webwiz and no-ip an support ticket

Re: Now how does this happen
The domain name doesn't return anything for me, which suggests the nameservers haven't filtered down yet?
