Website/Server checking tools

Hi Guys.

thought I'd just post this to help anyone setting up their own webserver and getting the best out of it. I have put a couple of links to help you identify issues with your websites.

https://gtmetrix.com/ is a great tool for identifying the actual loading speed of your website and informs you what needs to be done to get the best out of the web server.

https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/analyze.html identifies your websites https security and warns you of any out of date settings.

https://www.xml-sitemaps.com/ can generate various formats of sitemaps. sitemap.xml.gz ror.xml sitemap.html sitemap.xml urllist.txt

All these above sites are free to use.

And I checked the easy optimisations such as caching and compression.
Apparently had been so occupied with creating things that I forgot. Those two really mean a big difference.

Normally those are always set properly for my sites, had totally forgotten.

Too True Simon,
Although I do not run my own webserver, I do try to ensure my pages are validated and run as best they can.
I wish more website developers/owners did these checks. (I'm not perfect, but try)
I know you follow my site regularly, and that is what I do = ensure (to the best of my ability) that i do the checks.
Another to add to the list above is (bad Links). So many sites have old (un-resolving links).
I have just updated my Status Page and I'm happy with the results (attached), though that is from my location, be happy to see it from yours.
