I am in the process of transferring my Cumulus v1.9.4 from Windstream webhost (still active) to RSHosting. I have been working with RSHosting support for over two days and we cannot get Cumulus to upload to the proper directory. I went with RSHosting as it was recommended in the Cumulus Webspace Wiki so I am hoping others in this forum might be successfully using RSHosting.
Here is the RSHosting ftplog where the file upload fails just prior to the the final Cumulus file renaming:
13:40:41:997 FTP Command: STOR /home/{username}/public_html/cumulus/gauges-ss.htmtmp
13:40:41:997 0638F270 TriggerDataSent 1112
13:40:41:997 0638EAB0 TriggerDataSent 2380
13:40:42:113 FTP Response: 553 Can't open that file: No such file or directory
13:40:42:113 >|553 Can't open that file: No such file or directory|
Here is the ftplog for Winstream that uploads successfully. The FTP Commands are different:
11:40:06:034 FTP Command: RNFR home_page/gauges-ss.htmtmp
11:40:06:035 063EEAB0 TriggerDataSent 1684
11:40:06:058 FTP Response: 350 File or directory exists, ready for destination name
11:40:06:058 >|350 File or directory exists, ready for destination name|
11:40:06:058 ! HighLevelAsync 0
11:40:06:058 FTP Command: RNTO home_page/gauges-ss.htm
11:40:06:058 063EEAB0 TriggerDataSent 1684
11:40:06:090 FTP Response: 250 Rename successful
11:40:06:090 >|250 Rename successful|
The RSHosting directory path is /home/{username}/public_html/cumulus and I think I have tried every possible combination of /home, /{username}, /public_html, and /cumulus, but we cannot get past the FTP error above. Using just /home/{username}, I can get the Cumulus standard files and standard images to load into that root directory; but using the same path, I cannot get the extra files to load at all.
Any help is greatly appreciated and my apologies if this has already been answered. I did try searching on this. Thank you.

Re: RSHosting Upload Issues
I would try using in the directory setting as this is the normal path for that type of server.
Code: Select all
public_html/cumulus

That worked! Thanks so much. Will also pass onto RSHosting.

Re: RSHosting Upload Issues
Puzzled as to why a Hosting company would give incorrect information like that, they should know the FTP path to the web area is Public_html, and NOT the root path.
Anyway glad my suggestion worked.
