The daily table contains daily summary data (todays hi/lo temp, press, total rainfall etc).
The monthly table (confusing name, it comes from the data being stored locally in monthly log files) contains an entry of 'current values' for every logging period the user has selected - I log data every 10 minutes, so my table has an entry every 10 minutes going back to 2010. Other users log anywhere between 1 minute and 30 minutes as a 'normal' range.
