Like Ray I have the Flag counter visible on my site and then I use addfreestats.com hidden from view as it gives more info on the visitor.

Time in/time out, page in/page out, search terms used to find us, operating system, etc. and they save the data going back quite a ways.

Then I have the counter from Top Weather Sites keeping tab and there's always the 'server' logs.

And it still amazes me that I never get the same total from any of them for daily, weekly or monthly.

Hi Brian,

How far have you got? Have made your selection from the options available and are only needing to insert the code into your IndexT.htm file? Or is the website itself the problem?
Cheers,
Ray, Cheshire.

I use http://extremetracking.com/ and have done on many websites for about 7 years now. They're pretty reliable and produce lots of location info on your visitors etc.

You will find several free counters here: http://www.phpjunkyard.com along with lots of other useful code.
Very useful if you want something that doesn't rely on a 3rd-party connection.
Cheers,
Graeme.

My counter died yet again!!!!

I've gone with a basic version of the flagcounter which just a counter without visible flags messing up my pages, its just a real shame I list my total hits and having to start from zero!!!

Odd. Mine has been for ages and the only changes I make are to increase the total number of flag counters. Not sure why it would fail. :?

Hi ace2 (not sure of your name)... I have a couple of counters I use on my sites.

On my weather site site I use PHP Web Stat. If you want to fork out $10 AUD, it's well worth it. It's comprehensive, reliable and will track all kinds of stats. Good support and simple to set up.

On my Aussie Native Bee site, I use a very, very simple php script to display total page visits as text. Nothing else. The script is available here.

On my Live streaming beecam site, I use flag counter.

Cheers

http://statcounter.com provide a customizable counter, and also some great stats of visitors to your site.

I’ve been using Stat Counter from the start -(without a visible Counter)
The admin section is excellent, easier to use than Google Webmaster or Analytics but Keywords won't show. There's a workaround that I’ve not tried yet.
The code is HTML which calls a JS (java script) or you can have a Basic code without JS that will put some limitation on some stats.

Keep up the great work ace2, it’s looking great!
