Add a new webtag
Hi Steve,
is it possible to add to the next edition of Cumulus new web tag <# RCapptemp> to display the current apparent temperature with an decimal point instead of comma?
Thank you
Milos

Can I ask what you want it for? It's just that there are usually ways that you can do it for yourself, if using javascript or PHP, for example.

Re: Add a new webtag
Hi Steve,
in analogy to tags <#RCdew>, <#RCapptempTH> and <#RCapptempTL> I intend to use this tag for further expansion of web pages and other calculations in PHP. It is very difficult to re-insert this parameter to various websites and always bypassing this tag by script.
Thank you again.

Re: Add a new webtag
Some parts of the world use a comma as their decimal separator, so Cumulus automatically puts commas in values that have decimal parts. But for some purposes (e.g. for javascript and PHP etc) the commas have to be converted to decimal points.

Re: Add a new webtag
So can you not replace the comma in your PHP? As "BT" has done in his Sager forecast scripts - using str_replace(), for example.milos.jirik wrote:I intend to use this tag for further expansion of web pages and other calculations in PHP.

Re: Add a new webtag
Hi Steve,
solutions like "BT" - using str_replace(), is not the right way. Thank you for all your effort and help, I will solve the problem differently.
