. You can see my page here.There's nothing very sophisticated about this page. All the values are hard-coded in the html, and the calculating effort is elsewhere in an excel spreadsheet. The values are compared with/against the nearest 'official' station that reports to the Met Office, which happens to be Keele, 13 miles away.
I've also been very impressed with Mark Crossley's (and others') results with Highcharts, like this. My Seasonal Averages page has a number of charts which can be accessed by clicking on the graph icon where one appears. These charts were originally created using Google Charts and were simple enough for even me to have managed some reasonable-looking results! However, I decided to take a look at Highcharts since others have managed to make such attractive results using this. Rather to my surprise
, Highcharts turns out to be more straightforward than I imagined and the Seasonal Averages page now uses these instead of the similar but less-effective Google charts.Anyway, I've had a lot of fun doing this and learnt quite a lot along the way.
