Website Installtion Help

Post by MD3WSP »

I have copied the contents of the \web directory to my webserver and placed it in a folder named /weather

I have also copied all of the files from directory named \webfiles and placed them in the same folder.

But it does not seem to be updating, so therefore I have missed something.

I have checked the login details and they are correct.

Is there a log to see what it is doing?

My website address is www.manxdesigns.im/weather

I think your coordinates are set wrong.

You have:

Latitude : N 54° 13' 45"
Longitude : E 04° 24' 26" <-------

That places you in the ocean (East) off the coast of Scarborough. From your station description, I think you are supposed to be on the Isle of Man which would be WEST of the Prime Meridian.

Latitude : N 54° 13' 45"
Longitude : W 04° 24' 26" <-------

A not uncommon mistake. Usually, someone on the American continent complains that their sunrise and sunset times are at the wrong ends of the day :)

It's funny but this is the 3rd Cumulus user I've seen do it, all of them located near the Prime Meridian.

For someone in the Americas, that type of error is a drastic shift in position.

Yes, I guess that's why the error is more obvious in the Americas. Here it doesn't make that much difference.
