Correcting Max Temperature readings

Post by colinpb »

Despite setting up my 3080 with the temp sensor in the shade facing North and the solar in the sun facing South, I now have a problem with sun from the NE. First thing the sun is catching the NE face of the sensor and on Sunday the 13th I got 22.1c at 9.13am! Not bad for the UK in mid May, if only it were true. I believe the following procedure should fix the problem but I wanted to check I've not overlooked anything

Without cumulus running edit the day file and replace max temp/apparent temp/heat index with correct readings and time stamps from the monthly log file

Start cumulus and edit the monthly/current year/ all-time logs. Presumably the corrected day file when open in the log editors will now show the correct highest monthly temp/apparent temp/heat index readings and time stamps. Then I can copy or manually replace the incorrect temps.

Yes, that sounds fine. You could edit dayfile.txt using the built-in editor, though.
