Random wind spike

Post by dpmiller »

On downloading this morning (I tend to download and observe the past day, as often as possible) and scanning through the graphs I noticed an odd wind spike yesterday afternoon.
Wind steady @ 25mph or so, direction stable too. Then... One record @ 110mph. Most Odd. No temperature, RH, or direction anomalies at the same time.

Any guesses on a cause- I'm darned sure there was no peak gust matching that, the chimney and trees are all intact...
Any what's the easiest to negate it from the records, please?

WH3080, btw.

Use the dayfile.txt editor to correct the day's high (you'll need to 'invent' a correct figure) then use the high/low editors to either correct the high manually or use them to scan dayfile.txt and recreate your high wind speed records.
