Problems with 'Easyweather Direct' in 1.7.15

It seems that not all of these stations behave in the same way. If you're having problems with with garbage data, please let me know what make and model your station is. I should have a fix available shortly.

Edit: Please note that it is very important that you do not try to run Easyweather at the same time if you are using Cumulus in 'direct' mode. This will not work. Two programs cannot talk to the station at the same time.

There seem to be a few 'quirks' in the way these stations operate. Please regard the current support for them as 'beta' for now. I'm happy for people to download and try it, but be prepared for problems and be prepared to supply diagnostics to help me track down the problems.

Hi Steve. after weeks of messing about with bad EW data i was ready for the 'direct' version of Cumulus. Installed it tonight and so far so good.

My only problem now is not running the sysytem PC 24/7.

I'd done about 25% of the work for using the logged data (so no need for 24/7), but then people started hitting problems with the existing stuff, so of course I need to get that working properly before I carry on. But I will get there!
