Timestamp Problem when swapping computers

Post by Super-T »

The laptop I normally use is having an intermittent hardware problem and I am trying to swap Cumulus 1 from the laptop to a desktop temporarily.
The problem I get is the error message at starting Cumulus. I have compared settings for date and time and both are the same. The only obvious difference is that the laptop is 32 bit and the desktop 64 bit. today.ini shows this "Timestamp=8/01/2020 11:41:27 a.m." Can this be the problem?

UPPERCASE Vs lowercase ?

M$ says ..
AM/PM Use the 12-hour clock and display an uppercase AM with any hour before noon; display an uppercase PM with any hour between noon and 11:59 P.M.

am/pm Use the 12-hour clock and display a lowercase AM with any hour before noon; display a lowercase PM with any hour between noon and 11:59 P.M.

Funny peculiar ...

What does the time notification in the taskbar look like ? - A.M. or a.m.

BTW. My knackered W10 lappy only has AM (uppercase) in the options !

That's weird. I must have changed the laptop settings because Cumulus on the laptop has the same message.

The only other thing I can 'see' is that it is complaining about a.m. - but the PC(s) don't seem to have that option ?

Needs someone with more modern experience than I ...

The error messages says I am set at AMPM but all the computer settings show am & pm.
When things like this happen I normally suspect MS update as sometimes they cause these sort of problems.
Perhaps someone in NZ can look at my settings relative to my data files and see where its gone wrong.
I'll sleep on it and see where to go in the morning :-)

You hit the nail on the head. I changed the laptop time from am to a.m. and Cumulus ran on the laptop again. Makes the time settings none standard for NZ though but that must have been the way the computer was set up originally in W7 so I will stick with it and see how it goes.

Good spotting mate.
